A History of Impact

Our story begins in 1989, when AM Conservation (then, AM Conservation Group) was founded with the goal of making affordable energy- and water-efficient products widely available. You know, back when the social sentiment of clean energy was less “basic responsibility” and more “tree-hugging hippie.”

Energy and water conservation wasn’t quite as trendy back then, and while we can’t take full credit for the growth of the clean energy industry, we’re proud to say we’ve been there every step of the way. From the era when LED light bulbs were new and exciting to today’s electric vehicle boom, the energy landscape has certainly progressed—and we continue to innovate alongside it. Although our product offerings (and our look) have evolved over the years, our passion is exactly the same as when we first began.

Today, we proudly continue our 35-year legacy by offering conservation product manufacturing, innovative technologies, value-add services, a cutting-edge supply chain, and the customer service you’ve come to expect from our team of experienced, committed, and talented experts.

AM Conservation is founded.

2006

We relocate from Hackettstown, New Jersey, to our current home in Charleston, South Carolina.

2013

AM Conservation acquires plumbing product lines from Niagara Corporate, expanding our scale to bring Niagara Conservation products to customers.

2016

AM Conservation and Franklin Energy join forces to form a powerhouse of integrated solutions of products and services that more comprehensively meet the needs of clients across the industry.

2019

AM Conservation acquires Resource Action Programs, empowering K-12 education to flourish. That same year, we expand with coast-to-coast warehouses.

2023

AM Conservation acquires Evolve Technologies, allowing the team to align unique technologies within the diverse network of channels and clients we serve.

2024

Snugg Pro joins the technology offering, providing contractors an IRA-compliant tool to meet evolving market needs.

But while we pride ourselves on our long history of success, we didn’t just patent a dish squeegee and call it a day (although yes, we did patent a dish squeegee back in the ‘90s). We’re constantly evolving our water and energy conservation products and services to meet our clients’ ever-changing needs. Utility marketplaces and transportation electrification definitely weren’t a big deal in 1989, but we’re happy to leverage them—among other solutions—to support the achievement of your unique goals. We haven’t lasted this long by shying away from innovation, and we’re not going to start any time soon.
