The 1/2 in. threaded mount is used on threaded pipes when the:
- pipe length is 7/16 - 1/2 in. (measured from the wall), and
- pipe threads or adapter threads are 1/2 in. NPT
A Trim Plate (escutcheon plate) is available for use with the ShowerStart Express Tub Spout. It has a depth of 3/8 in. and can be used to fill a gap between the wall and the back of the tub spout. It can also be used to cosmetically cover larger access openings to the tub spout's water supply. If using the Trim Plate, be sure to add its depth (3/8 in.) to the pipe length measurements provided above.
- SPECIAL CONSIDERATION:
If the initial pipe length (pre-cutting) is long and the threads can be completely removed after cutting it down to a 1 1/4 in. to 1 3/4 in. length, use the Slip-Fit mount instead of the 1/2 in. threaded mount.
