Uncovering Opportunities to Get Involved in Community Action Month

Planning for thriving community gardens will soon begin as volunteers will gather to prep, plant, and tend to a sustainable, and delicious, project that will serve them all season long.

AM Conservation recognizes how, like a community garden, Community Action Agencies (CAA) identify the needs of tight-knit neighborhoods and provide solutions. We are proud to equip CAAs with energy and water-saving equipment that their communities may not have access to otherwise. This Community Action Month (and year-round), we supply conservation kitsbulk LED light bulbs and other conservation products to support those agencies working to promote energy savings in their communities.

This month we’re excited to take part in Community Action Month by sharing opportunities and resources to help inspire action.

How can YOU Contribute to Community Action Month?

Like the process of establishing a community garden, making an impact requires all hands on deck, and with the help of the Community Action Partnership, we can provide you with tools to spread awareness.

Some resources to inspire community action in your own sphere of influence are:

  • Community Action Month Toolkit:

The Community Action Month Toolkit provides resources to promote a variety of community action programs and services, raising awareness of Community Action Month. This toolkit contains sample social media graphics and messaging, press release and government proclamation templates, fundraising ideas, video production tips, and event and activity information that your agency can use to increase your visibility.

Download the Toolkit!

  • Get involved with Your Local CAA.

Chances are there’s a CAA right around the corner that you may not know about! Visit your city’s official website or simply search for an agency near you to learn about upcoming events or sign up for volunteer opportunities with your local Community Action Agency.

  • Do You Represent a Community Action Agency?

You’re here to make a difference in your communities, and in this increasingly conservation-conscious world we’re here to support your energy efficiency journey every step of the way. If your organization is interested in introducing affordable, energy-efficient living to the community you serve, contact us.
